I did a Spartan Race last weekend.
So did many thousands of others.
There was much to be done that day – climbing walls, crawling in mud, carrying heavy things, and throwing pointy objects.
But there was one thing I didn’t see anyone doing. And I realized it as soon as I got back to “civilization.”
It was the incessant use of smart phones.
To be sure, people were snapping photos and whatnot, but nobody was in full thumb warrior mode.
Compare this to the average tech-addict sporting a craned neck, hunched shoulders, rounded back, and the athleticism of a turtle.
This got me thinking – What if we could operate our bodies as proficiently as we operate our phones?
Strength, flexibility, endurance – unfortunately there is no app for that.
But there are “shortcuts.”
They involve doing less – less of the stuff that doesn’t really matter while doubling down on the stuff that does.
Here are just a few things that matter. A lot.
Structural integrity (posture)
Breathing
Tenacity
Having Fun
Confidence
You’re in for a heavy dose of each of these and more at the Spring Strength Challenge!
