The very first exercise I teach new clients is the bodyweight squat.  With just a few reps, I can pick out a few very important things:

  • General mobility of the ankles, knees, and hips
  • Balance

… and much more, especially when we start to add a bit of weight.

Because most of us sit on our butts all day, it’s vital that we work them properly in the gym.
