I’ve been training for the Beast Tamer Challenge with Artemis for 14 months now. When I started I knew I was strong, but I was unsure if it would be possible for me to pass the event, or how to train specifically for it. We are very close to having me ready to do the challenge, and I am confident I will be a Beast Tamer.
From the initial information gathering/ Skype session, to outlining the program, to making adjustments and following up along the way, Artemis has exceeded all of my expectations. She has the experience, and knows how to apply her knowledge to help you. I would definitely recommend her to anyone interested in training for the Beast Tamer or Iron Maiden Challenge.
I am so grateful that when I decided to pursue my SFG I was given the wonderful advice to follow the Iron Body Training Systems program. I was lucky enough to train with Artemis and Eric in person when they lived in Boston. I followed the program doing a few days at home and the rest at the studio and they were there for me through injury, meltdowns, overtraining and my general craziness.
I can’t even begin to express the level of preparedness Iron Body Training systems provides on a physical and mental level- the SFG level 1 is daunting and stressful and to walk in KNOWING you are going to pass is invaluable. They progress you safely through every movement with your test size bell so when you walk into your certifications you OWN it.
When it came for me to tackle SFG 2 there was no question in my mind that I would continue to work with Artemis- she had moved from Boston so I decided to pursue the one on one online training. I must admit, at first I was nervous- I had such a wonderful experience for level 1 and I was nervous that online wouldn’t provide me with the same level of preparation. I can’t tell you how wrong I was. Artemis wrote me a custom program that not only very much prepared me for my SFG 2 test but also took into account my personal goals. She was very hands on and responsive and adjusted my program as needed. Through nagging shoulder and neck injuries and I went to the Dome of Strength feeling like a million bucks and knowing I could complete my 1/3 body weight press and all the movements.
To be great you must train with the greatest! Being a part of the Strong First community has been the greatest decision I have made in my career. It has helped me continue to learn and grow personally so I can help my clients learn and grow- I am so grateful to Iron Body Training systems for giving a clear path to success and for their continued support!Tina Morin, StrongFirst Level II Kettlebell Instructor and Owner of MSC Strength and Conditioning
The distance coaching program by Artemis is one of the most economical programs for kettlebell/strength enthusiasts.
I was having a hard time finding a kettlebell coach match. I was specifically looking for an individual that was well trained, knew the body, could see any issues I might have with movement and wasn’t afraid of implementing a program to help me reach my goals. I understood what my training program should look like, but not having years of professional personal training experience I couldn’t and didn’t want to setup my own program.
Artemis provided me with a program right away and instructional videos. If I had an issue or needed something modified she listened to my feedback and implemented a “course correction.” She would check in on me and suggest ideas to help me reach my stated goals. I would recommend her distance coaching program to anyone. She is one of the most knowledgeable coaches I have ever worked with. Don’t pass up an opportunity of working with her if you have the chance!Kathy Dooley
Distance coaching with Artemis has been a fantastic way to get an amazing depth of knowledge in a really convenient way.
I’ve really appreciated Artemis’ thoughtful planning catered to my needs (not some cookie cutter approach) and her fun, practical sense of humor! She has always been really responsive via email and is just great fun to work with.
Distance coaching has been my preference as it allows me to train from home with the expertise of a professional. And, the personalized YouTube videos have been invaluable to my learning and progress. Thank you Artemis!”Jenny D
Tracy Cook, Powerlifter, SFG II, USAPL Record Holder
I asked Artemis to coach me after following her blog and witnessing her “practice what she preaches” at my SFG Level II Certification.
She had just attempted the Iron Maiden Challenge and had just missed her press. She spoke to me about plan to go back and continue to work and meet her goal. Her resolve and confidence were infectious! Her approach toward distance training is no different. She is patient, thorough, and determined to guide you toward your goal. She sends very detailed, easy to follow plans and dedicates additional time for FaceTime training as well as any questions during the month. Training with Artemis is a worthy investment!Debbie H
Not only was Artemis physically exceptional, her ability to coach and motivate was outstanding. I have a renewed my enthusiasm for strength training and cant stop talking about how amazing my experience was. I achieved a personal record for my pull up and the confidence it has given me, has transferred into other areas of my life. Thanks Artemis!Lucy Martin
“I have been working out for many years now, but truly got into strength training in 2012. My husband, Chris, is a gym owner and he is always going to seminars. When he caught wind of the (very first) September 2014 NYC “I am Not Afraid to Lift” workshop by Artemis, he thought it would be a great idea for the both of us to go. I was really excited about attending as I had very little experience training with kettlebells and was eager to learn more.
I already knew I loved lifting and the awesome feeling that goes along with getting stronger, but I wasn’t, however, completely aware of what I was capable of. Artemis’s workshop certainly helped me in this aspect… I decided I would attempt my first-ever weighted pull-up with a 10 kg (22lb) kettlebell, after only having done my body weight before. First attempt was a success! I believe I also set a PR for myself when I double kettlebell cleaned 45lb bells (also a great feeling!).
After the seminar, that very day, I decided I wanted to set specific goals for myself and begin training to obtain my Strong First Level I instructor certification. Within just a week or so of attending the NYC seminar, my husband and I were enrolled in the SFG cert course. Mission accomplished: we are both now Level I instructors, and I have to say that attending Artemis’s seminar is what set the wheels in motion for me wanting to learn more and see what other things I was capable of.
Almost exactly a year after attending her seminar my husband hosted Artemis at our gym, Beyond Strength Performance NOVA, where I was able to witness others (myself included, again) see what they were truly capable of.
Artemis is certainly someone I look up to for her knowledge, enthusiasm, and hunger for strength. I owe her a lot of credit for getting me on the track to becoming stronger and more confident.”Jessica Merritt, SFG
You may think you need personal contact with a personal trainer. That is certainly not the case with the distance coaching program offered through Iron Body Training Systems. Their distance coaching program is expertly designed to ensure that you get all the benefits of a personal trainer without the hassle of going to a specific gym. As a distance coaching client for 6 months I have already noticed significant changes in my body and overall strength. Lifting groceries and doing everyday activities is much easier as a strong, healthy woman. The workouts are innovative, challenging and fun! They make me look forward to going to the gym.
I could not be happier with my experience so far with Iron Body Studios’ distance coaching program. I am seeing real results and having fun reaching my goals.”Stephanie V
